I’m Captain Brendan Bingham, owner of BB’s Great Lakes Sportfishing, and I’m excited you’re here.

I grew up in Louisville, Kentucky, but spent summers at my family’s cottage on Lake Charlevoix, where I first fell in love with fishing Northern Michigan waters. What started as a childhood passion quickly turned into a lifelong pursuit.

I went on to compete in collegiate bass tournaments at Murray State University, learning from anglers across the country and developing the skills and techniques I now bring to every trip on the water.

Today I call Charlevoix, Michigan home, and my goal is simple—help people experience how incredible fishing on the Great Lakes can be. Whether you're chasing trophy smallmouth bass, targeting walleye, or enjoying a day on the water, nothing beats the moment someone hooks into a fish and realizes just how special this fishery is.

While I specialize in Great Lakes smallmouth bass, I also guide for walleye, salmon, and lake trout throughout the season.

In addition to guiding, I hold a degree in Safety and Health, which means safety is always a priority on every trip. My goal is to make sure every guest has not only a successful day of fishing, but a safe, fun, and memorable experience on the water.
